Dutch Firm Willing to Implement Petrochem Project

Pursuant to German petrochemical giants, namely Basel and TIB Chemical, a Dutch petrochemical firm has expressed willingness to play a role in Iran's lucrative petrochemical sector, said Ahmadreza Ashtari, Kermanshah's petrochemical managing director.

According to the official, the Dutch Stamicarbon petrochemical firm has expressed readiness to supply the Iranian side with advanced technical know-how to develop the second phase of Kermanshah's petrochemical complex. The project has been given a high priority due to the potential market capacity in Iraq, Turkey and Armenia, Mehr News Agency reported.

Elaborating on the details of the cooperation, Ashtari said, "An agreement has been signed with Stamicarbon based on which the Dutch enterprise is due to provide us with the required licenses."

An EPC contract has been chosen to run the project,under which the Dutch contractor will design the installation, procure the materials and build the project.
