"All drilling operations at SP Phase 19 will be completed by July and 25 million cubic meters of gas from the phase is slated to be injected into the national gas pipeline by March 2016," Mohammad Javad Shams was quoted by POGC's PR department as saying.

Once completed, the Phase 19 is expected to produce 50 mcm/d of natural gas, in addition to  550 tons of ethane, 2,000 tons o propane, 1,200 tons of butane and 80,000 barrels of gas condensate per day.

Four platforms are under construction in Phase 19, three of which have been developed by at least 60 percent. According to reports, the Phase 19 offshore sector has seen faster development compared to other phases.

All SP phases are scheduled to be completed within three years.

Phases 13-18 are now a priority, followed by phases 19, 20, and 21, according to the Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh.

Upon the completion of seven high-priority phases in the near future, SP output will go up by nearly 170 mcm/d.
