Iran's electricity network will be connected to the power grid of the UAE using submarine power cables, managing director of the Iran Power Generation and Transmission Company (Tavanir) said. "Iran's power sector remains pivotal to the region's energy exchange," Homayoun Haeri was quoted by ISNA as saying. More than 95 percent of electricity equipments are made domestically, he added.
