All the cities of Kermanshah Province will be connected to the gas grid before the end of the current Iranian year (March 2024), the head of the provincial gas company said.
“Of the total 35 cities in Kermanshah, 34 cities have gas supply capability. So far, 33 cities have been linked to the natural gas network and the process of gas supply to Azgeleh City is underway,” Nasser Hosseini was also quoted as saying by IRNA.
“The gas supply project to the city of Azgeleh includes laying 47 kilometers of pipeline at a cost of $2.8 million. It has so far registered 19% progress, and 9 kilometers of pipelines have been installed,” he added.
When the project is complete in about seven months, all urban areas in the province will have access to natural gas.
“At the same time, work on supplying gas to four rural areas is also underway. Last year, 230 villages in the province were provided with natural gas, bringing the rural gas supply in Kermanshah to 90%,” he said.
