Gas production in Ilam Province in western Iran will increase to 11 million cubic meters per day with the implementation of the second phase of Tang-e Bijar Gas Field, the managing director of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company said.
“The Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company has offered to invest $102 million for the development of the second phase of the field, which currently produces 6.6 mcm of gas per day,” Ali Rezaei was also quoted as saying by IRNA.
PGPIC and ICOFC have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop the field to tap the hamstrung capacity of Ilam Petrochemical Plant while stabilizing the gas network in western regions, especially Ilam Province.
