The first phase of the Gas and Natural Gas Liquid Plant in Khuzestan Province, named NGL 3200 that collects associated petroleum gases from oil and gas fields, will be launched in the near future, the managing director of the National Iranian Oil Company said.
“With the help of various projects underway, 50% of the APG will be collected by the end of the next Iranian year [March 2024],” Mohsen Khojestehmehr was also quoted as saying by the Oil Ministry’s news service Shana.
“By early next year, the equivalent of 8.2 million cubic meters of gas will be collected daily from flares, and by the end of next year, another 18.2 mcm per day will be added to this amount,” he said.
“In 2025 and 2026, 17 mcm and 7 mcm per day of flared gas will be reduced. In other words, we intend to collect 50% of flared gas by the end of next year and the remaining gas will be collected by 2026.”
