The Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company has an installed capacity of 28 million tons, which will reach 33 million tons in the near future with the launch of new projects, the deputy for planning and business development at PGPIC said.
Moreover, plans are underway to further increase the installed capacity to 46 million tons by 2026, Hassan Neshanzadeh was also reported as saying by the Oil Ministry’s news portal.
“The company seeks to close the gap with the German company BASF; this is achievable due to the country’s huge resources and the capabilities of its knowledge-based companies,” he added.
