The lawmakers have rejected a proposal calling for the transfer of gas-fueled power plants to the private sector, IRNA reported Tuesday. The motion, which was proposed by the parliament's planning and budget committee, would allow for offering of shares of all state-owned gas-fueled power plants, after merging them into one single company, through Iranian Privatization Organization.
