Thailand to Extend Oil, Gas Bidding

Thailand extended for one month the period for an auction of 29 onshore and offshore petroleum concessions to deal with growing opposition to the plan from activists and politicians, the country's energy policy committee said on Monday, Reuters reported. "The Feb. 18 deadline for bidders to join the auction has been extended to March 16," Kurujit Nakornthap, deputy permanent secretary of the energy ministry said.
