Third Gas Unit With F-Class Turbine to Be Launched in Summer

The gas unit of Dokouheh Combined-Cycle Power Plant in Andimeshk County, Khuzestan Province, with an F-Class turbine and a capacity of 307 megawatts will become operational before the beginning of the hot season when power consumption peaks, deputy of projects development at the Thermal Power Plants Holding Company said.
“The plant is the third one using an F-Class gas turbine in the country. The gas unit has registered 73% progress and is to come on stream by summer,” Hamidreza Azimi was also quoted as saying by the Energy Ministry’s news portal Paven.
Pointing out that the 230-kV transmission line of the project, with a length of 17 km, is being installed by the Khuzestan Regional Electric Company, he said, “According to the plan, we hope to connect the line to the power plant by the end of May.”
