Petrochem Crude Feedstock to Reach 2.6m Barrels in 10 Years

The 55 Iranian petrochemical companies use 1.1 million barrels of crude as feedstock daily and this will reach 2.6 million barrels over the next decade, managing director of the National Petrochemical Company said.
“NPC is developing 69 petrochemical projects across Iran, which have registered 50% progress on average and as they become operational, more feedstock, both crude oil and natural gas, will be needed,” ILNA also quoted Morteza Shah-Mirzaei as saying.
The companies also use 35 million tons of natural and liquefied gas as feedstock annually to produce 31 million tons of products, he added.
