Khuzestan to Host Oil Exhibition in February

The 12th Khuzestan Specialized Exhibition of Oil and Petroleum Industry Equipment Manufacturing will be held in Ahvaz from Feb. 6-9, 2022.

The exhibition, which will be held at Khuzestan International Exhibitions Center, seeks to introduce Iran’s capabilities in the fields of oil, gas and petrochemicals, drilling, machinery and equipment for the oil sector and related industries.

The exhibition will provide a platform for domestic producers to become acquainted with the country’s energy needs, the Oil Ministry’s news portal reported.

Some 210 local firms are expected to attend the exhibition.

The last edition of the exhibition was held three years ago in December 2019. It was not held in 2020 and 2021 due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Nevertheless, as the country is in a better condition following the vaccination of a majority of Iranians, the southern oil province will host the 12th edition of the exhibition with the permission of the Oil Ministry.

Following the reimposition of US sanctions in 2018 and problems caused by high volatility and rising exchange rates in the country’s currency market, Iran has faced problems regarding the supply of equipment in various industrial sectors, so the government has devised new strategies to capitalize on domestic production.

The exhibition is seen as a great opportunity for introducing the latest investment opportunities in oil and drilling projects, especially to the private sector.

The Khuzestan exhibition is an important energy event in the country after Iran Oil Show and Kish International Energy Exhibition.
