The 17th Kish International Energy Exhibition (Kish ENEX) will be held on Kish Island from Jan. 17-20, 2022.
Kish ENEX, which will be held at Kish International Exhibitions Center, seeks to introduce Iran’s abilities in the fields of oil, gas and petrochemicals, water and electricity, new energy, chemicals and related industries and to provide a platform for domestic producers to get acquainted with the country’s energy needs, ILNA reported.
The last edition of the expo was held two years ago in January 2020. It was not held last year due to the outbreak of the coronavirus across the country. However, as the country is in a better condition following the vaccination of a majority of Iranians, the southern island will host the 17th edition of the expo with the permission of the Oil Ministry.
Following the reimposition of US sanctions in 2018 and problems caused by high volatility and rising exchange rates in the country’s currency market, Iran has faced problems regarding the supply of equipment in various industrial sectors, so the government has been applying new strategies to focus more on domestic production.
The exhibition is seen as a great opportunity for introducing the latest investment opportunities in energy-related projects, especially to the private sector.
Kish ENEX is the second most important energy exhibition in the country after Iran Oil Show.
