Fajr Jam Gas Refining Company processed 10.5 billion cubic meters of gas in the first half of the current Iranian year (started March 21), which is 6% higher compared with the same period of last year, managing director of the company said.
“The company's overhaul operations are also being completed and the refinery will be ready to produce maximum gas in the winter,” Abdolsamad Najafi was also quoted as saying by the Oil Ministry’s news agency Shana.
“Despite limitations caused by the spread of coronavirus, the refinery was able to complete a major part of the overhaul of operational units with the efforts of its staff, especially those in technical, operational and support departments,” he added.
The production process at the refinery complies with all health, safety and environment requirements.
Najafi noted that the overhaul of the company's sweetening units went according to the plan and they are ready to inject more gas to Iran Gas Trunkline.
About 25% of the gas used in the country are supplied by Fajr Jam Gas Refining Company.
“The company also produced a total of 1.2 million barrels of gas condensate and nearly 8,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas in the first six months of the year,” he said.
A part of its gas condensate was transferred to the port city of Siraf in the southern Bushehr Province for export.
