Karoun Petrochemical Company Raises MDI Output, Sales

The production of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) at the Karoun Petrochemical Company during the sixth month of the current Iranian year (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) had a 17.1% increase compared with the same period of last year, managing director of the company said.
“The company produced 3,250 tons of MDI last month, which was 475 tons more than the output in the same month of a year ago,” Alireza Seddiqi-Zadeh was also quoted as saying by the Energy Today website.
“It was the highest volume of the item produced in one month since the launch of the MDI production unit three years ago,” he said.
“With the rise in MDI production, the company also succeeded in raising its MDI-based pre-polymers.”
