MAPNA Boiler Engineering and Manufacturing Company, a subsidiary of the engineering and energy giant MAPNA Group, has designed and manufactured vent silencers for thermal power plants.
Experts and engineers at the company have succeeded in making various types of silencers for use in steam units, heat recovery boilers class-E and Class-F as well as industrial boilers, ILNA reported.
The venting of high pressure steam to atmosphere during plant operations often leads to unacceptably high noise levels. This noise can be generated due to the high velocity flow through the valve and turbulence created around any obstacle in the line that suddenly restricts or changes the direction of flow such as valve or an orifice.
