Water, Power Projects Open in Five Provinces

Twenty four water and electricity projects worth $50 million were inaugurated in five provinces on Tuesday. Nine were in Qazvin Province, five in Lorestan, and Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari each, four in North Khorasan and one in Alborz Province, the Energy Ministry reported.
Of the projects launched in five counties in Qazvin Province were two 1-megawatt solar power plants, three wastewater collection network projects and four electricity supply projects.
In Lorestan Province, a water project for 38 villages with a population of 1,970 households as well as electricity supply to rural areas came online. Power projects in Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari Province will provide electricity to rural regions.
In North Khorasan Province, the projects include water supply to 32 villages with 4,715 households and power supply to rural areas. The water project in Alborz will supply water to the Hashtgerd and Nazarabad counties.
