The Power Generation and Transmission Company (Tavanir) has undertaken to channel private sector finances for construction and operation of 12 power plants with a total generation capacity of 9,000 megawatts, a company official said Friday. "Private investors will build power plants under BOO (build-own-operate) and BOT (build-operate-transfer) contracts," Kurosh Maleki was quoted by Mehr news agency as saying.
