New Russian Contractor to Build $1.2b Sirik Power Plant

A new contractor has been appointed by Russia for the construction of a 1400-megawatt Power Plant in Sirik County, Hormozgan Province, the energy minister said in Tehran said Tuesday without naming the new contractor.
Reza Ardakanian added that the Russian side finally decided to change the contractor and construction is expected to start within weeks, the Energy Ministry news portal Paven reported.
In 2016, Iran's Thermal Power Plants Holding Company signed a contract with Russia’s Technopromexport to build the power plant comprising four units of 350 MW each.
