Iran and South Africa will undertake technological exchange.

Deputy Minister for Research and Technology Vahid Ahmadi pointed to the joint technological center established by Iran and Kazakhstan in Almaty, Kazakhstan, last October.

Ahmadi added that the center aims to provide an opportunity to the two countries to exchange latest achievements in technological areas, Mehr News Agency reported.

“Accordingly, we decided to initiate technological transactions with South Africa as well. The two countries have held talks and signed an MoU,” he said, hoping that they could manage to nurture technological interactions in the near future.

The deputy minister noted that Iran is eager to become one of the 30 developed countries in the near future.

“We believe that cooperation and friendship with the Islamic Republic of Iran could be one of the most important plans to achieve the goal,” he said.

“The cooperation can provide huge opportunities for the exchange of science and technology, and promote joint projects between the two countries.”
