The 5th round of Iran’s Financial Technology Event known as FinUp is set to put women active in financial technologies in the spotlight trying to draw attention to their significant contributions to the sector.
Slated for July 27 in Tehran, the event will focus on female entrepreneurs, their ideas, experiences and concerns, reported local technology website Webna.ir. Those interested may visit evand.com and pay a 100,000 rial ($2.38) entrance fee.
According to the event’s website, several experts are to address the participants. Founder of Iranian startup and crowdfunding platform Rungo, Hamideh Habibi, and Shokouh Hosseinabadi, a legal adviser in banking affairs are among the speakers.
FinUp is an educational and interaction-based finance event, which intends to promote financial knowledge and expand fintechs’ reach and activities in Iran. The event is run by the field’s veterans.
The first edition of FinUp was held in Tehran back in August 2017, with two follow-ups in the last Iranian year which ended in March.
As fintechs are not exclusive to Tehran, FinUp officials decided to change the venue for one of the rounds of the event which was held in Shiraz.
The previous editions touched upon issues such as payment, wealth management, crowdfunding, insuretech, loaning, money transfer and forex services. Moreover, the challenges Iranian fintechs face and potential solutions were discussed in the former editions.
