The results for the Ph.D. preliminary examinations were released on the website of the National Educational Assessment Organization (Sanjesh Organization) on Monday.Hossein Tavakoli, a top adviser with Sanjesh Organization, said out of the 187,821 students sitting the exam, 173,763 are qualified to choose their preferred universities and majors. “Out of the eligible candidates, 43.5% were women and 56.5% men”. Students can choose their universities and majors from April 23 to 28. University schedules for conducting the Ph.D. interview will be announced around mid-May. Every year students compete to gain admission to Ph.D. programs offered by country’s top universities. Out of the 234,706 who had registered to attend the exam, 46,885 (19.98%) were absent from the session.
