A new feature designed to assist the visually impaired people has been added to Kish Iran Credit Card Corporation’s e-wallet application. The mobile payment app, which is named ‘PUT’, utilizes the TalkBack service of Android to guide such people through the software, reported ISNA.
The TalkBack service reads texts aloud and every movement users make on their phone is monitored and verbalized by the app.
The new feature has been tested extensively and is functional. The move is of significant importance for the disabled to facilitate their daily lives.
Recently, other features such as new languages support (Persian, English, Arabic and Turkish) were added to the feature. The software currently has 850,000 users and is ranked sixth among different e-wallet apps in Iran in terms of popularity.
