App Calculates Utility Bills, Building Expenses

A local startup has launched a service to help building residents get rid of the hassles of sharing expenses and bills.

The service dubbed 'iParteman' is accessible through the website iparteman.com and an Android app available for download on local app market Café Bazaar, local technology website Stshow reported.

Through the new service, owners and tenants in each building can create a shared account. The building managers — normally one of the residents selected by others — who also are the shared accounts’ administrator can add information including the number of people living in each apartment and the total maintenance costs and bills. The app calculates the cost for each house. After logging into the app residents can see the details of their bills. They also will receive notifications when a bill (water, gas, electricity, cleaning and repairs if any) is due.

The app also has an ‘announcement board’ that can be used by managers to inform residents of things deemed necessary.

The app can also be used for paying the utility bills. Using the app people can scan the barcode printed on the paper bills and pay online.
