The knowledge-based business Tosan Techno is set to offer Mobile Point of Sale devices. According to the marketing manager, Jamshid Azadeh, the commercial sales of the device will be launched soon, ICTNA reported. “The company has received the permits for the service from Shaparak, the entity in charge of the e-payment network.” Azadeh said. An mPOS is a smartphone, tablet or dedicated wireless device that performs the functions of a cash register or electronic point of sale terminal.  The company official also noted that “in tandem with easing financial transactions, the device supports all types of debit cards and is set to facilitate sales and customer services.” In response to a question about the security of Tosan Techno’s mPOS device, Azadeh said the product has been accepted by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, which is an international license for such devices and services. In addition to Tosan Techno, several other local firms like AMP-Advanced Mobile Payments and Spectra Technologies Holding, offer similar products.
