Over-the-air Internet provider Mobinnet has launched 4G Internet services in Iran’s northern region of Gorgan, according to reports in local media.
The service launched on May 3, is the first time that the firm has offered the super-fast Internet connection in the region, according to Titreno.
The government has been at the forefront to push the use of 4G technology across the country through the existing and new Internet and telecoms providers since 2015. Mobinnet previously offered WiMAX services, however, since the introduction of 4G the company has teamed up with mobile operators to offer Internet connections through the new technology.
