Deal on INO Secretariat

On the sidelines of the Asia Nano Forum in Tokyo, an international memorandum was signed between the representatives of Iran Russia, South Korea and Taiwan to give Iran ‘permanent secretariat’ status of the International Nano Olympiad, according to Mehr News Agency on April 10. Iran’s advancement in nano-technology has helped the country develop its scientific research in recent years, with the government giving its full backing for the development of the key industry. According to the agreement, Iran is now responsible for organizing  events and conferences between member states of the expanding  organization. Following the deal, Iran will host the first International Nano Olympiad in November this year. As part of the overall aims of the organization, the INO seeks to help develop multinational research projects and help further the cause of nanotechnology.
