Iran’s Communication Regulatory Authority (CRA) has issued an official notice to the country’s largest mobile operator over the declining MCI call quality due to a poor rollout of 4G services. Mobile Communications Company of Iran, locally known as Hamrah-e- Aval, hastily upgraded its network in several cities recently, including Tehran. The rapid pace of the process and the company’s eagerness to reach its self-imposed deadline has led to problems for subscribers. In a talk with the state-owned IRIB News Agency, Hussein Fallah Joshghani, the deputy head of CRA said the company has been officially warned. “The recent changes in MCI’s network have led to disruption in calls and low quality of voice transmission. CRA has set a March 5 deadline for MCI  to address and remove the problem.” Mobile subscribers can file complaints with CRA on its official website in case the problem is not solved by the set deadline.
