Heading an Iranian delegation, Ali Asghar Amidian, the head of Iran’s Communications Regulatory Authority, attended the Third Global Standard Symposium in Tunisia. Held in Hammamet, the symposium opened on October 24 brought together leaders in the standardization sphere to discuss how standards could best integrate the consideration of security, privacy and trust, Mehr News Agency reported. Amidian noted that by devising regulations in this area, customer trust and satisfaction could be enhanced, which will lead to more transparency and help secure data and privacy in both infrastructures and services. GSS is a one-day event where ministers, regulators, heads of other international, regional and national standards bodies discuss challenges facing global ICT standards, with a focus on the intersection of ICT sector with other vertical sectors such as health care, utilities and transport.
