Tehran to Host Iran Telecom 2016

The 17th International Exhibition of Telecommunications, known as “Iran Telecom 2016”, will be held at Tehran’s Permanent Fairground from Sept. 25-28. Many Iranian telecom firms from both the private and public sectors will be taking part, along with representatives of prominent telecoms research centers, ICTPRESS reported. A total of 22 foreign firms will also be presenting the latest achievements related to communications and information technology. The exhibition was first launched to create a platform for sharing technical and trade information in the field of telecoms. It also seeks to promote interaction between industry players and researchers while creating an opportunity for them to showcase their latest achievements in the field. The hashtag of the event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., is #irantelecom2016. The first edition of the exhibition was held in 2000.
