Iran’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has conducted a user preference survey.  “Service quality and prices are the main concerns of Iranian users regardless of who the service provider is,” said the deputy ICT minister. According to Mohammad Javad Azari, 65% of Iranians are primarily concerned about affordability when choosing applications and social network service providers, Mehr News Agency reported. The official said most users do not have any reservations about using domestic apps or social networks. “Only 8% of the citizens voiced concerns about using such services,” he said. Highlighting the importance of information privacy, he said service providers should not take users’ sense of security for granted. Azari also said providing a wide range of services is one of the key measures that could evoke users’ interest in domestic apps and services.
