Paper Airplanes Go High Tech

A new app and gizmo has been released this week, which upgrades the humble paper airplane.  The PowerUp 3.0: Smartphone Controlled Paper Airplane is a jetpack to attach to your everyday paper airplane and steer it using your smartphone. Following a 10-minute charge, this Bluetooth-controlled aircraft gives you 20 minutes of flight time. The PowerUp utterly surpassed its Kickstarter campaign by raising over $1.2 million in funding. Fully crowdsourced, it is now available for international orders. The new gizmo, which attaches to the paper plane, is controlled by an accelerometer via your mobile.  There is no news on whether this new device will make it to Iran, though Iranian malls like Paytakht and other tech centers often stock these new gizmos in months following the international release.
