Finding the perfect restaurant or cafe can be confusing in Iran. There are several of them around but it can be difficult to find the perfect one, as there aren’t many reliable restaurant listings. According to local technology news agency WEBNA, a newly launched website and mobile application named Ashojash has set out to help ease the process of restaurant hunting. It offers a comprehensive guide to all types of food and lists restaurants and cafes according to the rankings submitted by users. The website also has a more social side to it as well: it allows users to interact and contribute by writing reviews or adding photos of places they have been to. It currently includes information on restaurants in three cities: Tehran, Tabriz and Mashhad. The biggest and perhaps oldest competitor in this field is Fidilio, which is a well-known brand in the field.
