Iran Stamp Society has launched an app named "Stamps of Iran" in the Persian language, which allows users to learn more about Iran's postal history.
The new app is only officially available for Android-based mobile phones currently, but stamp facts are also available on its website.
The app features the history of Iranian stamps dating back to the 1900s along with descriptions about specific stamps and their date of issue.
The app goes further than general descriptions and highlights stamp usage, including how it was produced as well as printing techniques. The application can be downloaded from Café Bazaar. It has had over 100 downloads and has received a positive response from those who have downloaded it so far.
