Toothpaste maker, Signal, has launched an online competition through Instagram social network asking users to show off their teeth. The competition is one of the latest by international companies to tap into the Iranian youth market. According to Webna.ir, a local tech website, the competition uses the terms #IranSignal #Behkhan (a better smile in English) and users are then rated on their "smileyness" by the group's moderator. The lucky winner of the competition will receive a Samsung mobile phone. The Signal competition is the latest in a string of large local and foreign companies promoting their brand through social media channels like Instagram. Other companies included Sony, Mihan Ice Cream and Samsung to name a few.
