The 6th International Conference on Nanostructures will be held on Kish Island early March 2016. The Institute for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology of Sharif University of Technology is to organize the confab with the support of Iran’s Nanotechnology Initiative Council. The conference aims to gather eminent national and international scientists and researchers for exchanging ideas, sharing knowhow and presenting advances in the fields of nanoscience and nanostructures, Mehr News Agency reported. The confab is an important international and multi-disciplinary event in the field of nanotechnology. The international event will cover a wide range of topics, including low-dimensional nanostructures, carbon-based nanostructures, nanobiomaterials and nanomedicine, nanosensors and nanobiosensors. Notable speakers to attend the conference include Professor Sir Mark Edward Welland, head of Nanoscience Center, Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge, England; Professor Paul S. Weiss, California Nano Systems Institute’s director, University of California, USA; and Professor Kenneth Suslick, Department of Chemistry, University of Illinois, USA.
