IoT Park to Help Integrate Technologies

To integrate all activities carried out in the in the field of information technology, the need for setting up a technology park with a focus on Internet of Things is a pressing necessity, said the  deputy minister of technology and innovation at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
Amir Hossein Davaei made the statement at the first meeting of the strategic committee of IoT, which was held to assess the roadmap prepared for developing Iran's IoT plans, IRNA reported.
IoT is the network of physical objects or things embedded with electronics, software, sensors and network connectivity, which enables these objects to collect and exchange data.
Also present at the meeting was the deputy minister of planning and strategic supervision, Barat Qanbari, who also said that the execution of the plan is critical for optimizing productivity.
Hooman Zarrabi, executive director of the plan, delivered a report on the number of firms expected to operate in the area of IoT.
Zarrabi explained the details of the executive plan and achievements made in the field. He also outlined plans for attracting investments over the next five years.
