Iraq Commended for Telecom Facilities

Iran’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi expressed gratitude to his Iraqi counterpart Hassan Al Rashid. The Iranian minister sent a message to Hassan Al Rashid, thanking Iraq’s Ministry of Communications and operators for facilitating and increasing the quality of telecommunications during the Arbaeen rituals, Mehr News Agency reported. Vaezi added that the joint efforts will, indeed, be a perfect ground for boosting bilateral ties between the two ministries.On Sunday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani also thanked the Iraqi government and nation for the Arbaeen ceremonies. In his statement, which was submitted to Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi by Iran’s ambassador to Iraq, Rouhani praised the Iraqi government and nation for hospitality, good planning of the religious event and helping maintain the safety of Iranian pilgrims attending the Arbaeen ceremonies.
