According to statistics released by the Central Bank of Iran, Iranians have made $17 billion worth of Internet purchases since the start of the current Iranian year (March 21). According to the head of the Center for Developing Electronic Trade, affiliated to the government, this accounts for the payments made online, Eghtesad News reported.  "However, there are no statistics available for online orders, the payments for which were made on delivery," Mohammad Garakani-Nejad, said in a press conference.  He noted that so far 13,000 websites have received the electronic commerce trust logos issued by the governmental organization for Internet businesses. "In cooperation with Iran's cyber police, online businesses that have not acquired the logo will be duly shut down," he said.
