Samsung's new mobile phone, Galaxy Note 5, is to be offered in Iran to customers along with a USIM that supports GPRS, EDGE, 3G and 4G/LTE of MTN Irancell as well as MBB.

According to the company's press release, the first people who purchase Samsung Galaxy Note 5 from the Samsung Desks located in the main shopping centers of Iranian cities will be gifted an MTN Irancell USIM to be able to enjoy all functions of the new device.

After activation of the USIM and purchasing MTN Irancell mobile Internet packages of any denominations, the customers will, for one year, benefit from free of charge MBB, which is equal to 20% of the purchased Internet package.

The free MBB will be transferred to the account of the subscriber after the activation of the purchased Internet package.

MTN Irancell and Samsung had a previous joint experience dating back to April 2015 when they cooperated to offer Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge plus MTN Irancell USIM (capable of supporting 4G/LTE network).

Currently, more than 418 cities and villages, and 56 main roads in all 31 provinces are covered by MTN Irancell 3G. Additionally, more than 90 cities and villages are covered by MTN Irancell 4G/LTE.

To get connected to MTN Irancell 4G/LTE network, subscribers need to have a device that supports 4G/LTE.

They must be present in the 4G/LTE covered areas and make the needed settings as well. They also need to purchase a USIM or convert their SIM cards to USIM.

Earlier in August, the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ were introduced in a press conference held in Tehran. The company did not announce when the phones will be released in Iran nor has it set a price yet.
