Iran exported scientific products to different countries in the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2015). “Advanced materials produced in Yazd Science Park have been exported to the Netherlands and Germany, and the park exported scientific products worth $2.45 million last year,” said the head of Yazd Science Park, Dr. Dariush Pour-Serajian. He said 47% of knowledge-based companies in the park are active in the field of electronic engineering, including hardware, software and network security, ISNA reported. "Firms are also active in the fields of biotechnology, medicine, genetic engineering, food, metallurgical, energy and agriculture in the science park," he added. Pour-Serajian noted that the park’s scientific exports are expected to double this year. Iran mainly exported ICT, hardware and software equipment to Azerbaijan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Iraq, Syria, Moldova and Persian Gulf states last year.
