Shiraz Medical Sciences University and Italy's University of Turin have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand cooperation in the fields of science and research for five years. The two sides are expected to exchange students and professors and conduct joint research projects. Head of Health Policymaking Research Center Kamran Baqeri-Lankarani from Shiraz University and Deputy President of Turin University Sergio Bortolani would be responsible for implementing the new agreement, ISNA reports. Turin University provides medical and non-medical courses in both undergraduate and postgraduate fields, and is also working on treating cancers, organ transplant and health policy. Based on the MoU, the universities can exchange six students and two professors every year. The University of Turin was founded as a stadium in 1404. Since then, the university has grown in size and strength, becoming one of the leading centers of scientific research in Europe.
