About 400 thousand metric tons of livestock have been exported since the beginning of the Iranian month of Mehr (September, 23- October 22); when tariffs on livestock exports were abolished altogether, head of Organization for Nomadic Affairs (ONA) Karamali Ghandi told ILNA on Sunday. He added that no livestock has been smuggled out of the country ever since. In the wake of severe drought affecting 10 provinces over the past two years, the administration allocated 238 billion rials ($8.8 billion at official exchange rate) to finance water supply across the country, Ghandi said.
