Iran Engine Oil Production Rises 24%

A total of 214 million liters of engine oil were produced by Iran’s four major companies in the first half of the current Iranian year (March 21-Sept. 22), registering a 24% rise compared with the similar period of last year.

IRNA reported that these are Behran Oil Company, Iranol Oil Company, Sepahan Oil Company and Pars Oil and Gas Company, citing the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade. 

Sepahan Oil Company's output increased by 37%, Pars Oil and Gas Company by 35%, Iranol Oil Company by 35% and Behran Oil Company by 6% year-on-year.  

Over 157 million liters of engine oil were sold by these four companies in H1, indicating a 31% increase YOY. 

Sales by Iranol Oil Company grew by 49%, Pars Oil and Gas Company 38%, Sepahan Oil Company 29% and Behran Oil Company sold 16% more of engine oil compared with the corresponding period of last year.
