Close to 415,000 tons of non-oil goods worth more than $215 million were exported from the northern Mazandaran Province during the first half of the current Iranian year (March 21-Sept. 22), registering an 11% and 10% rise compared with the similar period of last year. 

“Dairy products were our main exported commodity accounting for around 17% and more than 50% of the weight and value respectively of the province’s exports during the period,” Amir Miran Amoli, the deputy head of the province’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, was also quoted as saying by IRNA.

Iraq, Russia, Turkey, Afghanistan, Italy, Bahrain, Pakistan, Ukraine and Central Asian countries were Mazandaran’s main export destinations during the period.

The province exported close to $700 million worth of goods last year (March 2017-18).
