Iran Gov't Offers Tax Exemption for Import of Essential Goods

Iranian Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade has released a list of essential goods that are not subject to the 4% upfront payment of import duties, given the current economic situation of the country and in order to avoid price rises.

These items include wheat, rice, barley, corn, soy meal, pulses (lentils, peas, beans and split peas), unprocessed vegetable oils, red meat, light and heavy livestock, eggs, oilseeds, butter, publication paper, newsprint and tires, as well as medicines for humans and animals, Fars News Agency reported.
