Close to 1.16 million tons of non-oil commodities were exported from Kish Port in southern Iran during the first five months of the current fiscal year (March 21-Aug. 22), registering a 211% jump compared with last year’s corresponding period.
According to Director General of Kish Island Ports and Maritime Organization Ahmad Shahriari, a total of 5,891 tons of non-oil goods were imported into the port during the same period to register a 70% decline year-on-year, the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development’s news service reported, citing Hormozgan Province Ports and Maritime General Office.
