The agriculture minister, Mahmoud Hojjati, and his accompanying delegation left the country for China on Sunday at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, Han Changfu, IRNA reported. Several memoranda of understanding (MoU) are scheduled to be signed in the course of the visit, aimed at launching joint projects within the next five years. The joint meeting of economic activists of both countries is also on the agenda. Hojjati is also planning to visit various agricultural hubs during his stay. This is the first visit of an Iranian minister of agriculture to China after the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
