Iran earned $281 million from the export of handicrafts through the country’s official customs terminals and $250 million through suitcase trade during the last fiscal year (ended March 20, 2018). Ali Asghar Mounesan, the head of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, added that domestic sales of handicrafts also generated over 14 trillion rials ($147.36 million), IRNA reported.
