Iran's Non-Oil Trade With Japan Exceeds $310m

Iran traded 276,030 tons of non-oil commodities worth $312.41 million with Japan during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 21-July 22), registering a 40.9% and 13.71% decrease in tonnage and value respectively compared with last year’s corresponding period, latest data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show.

Iran’s exports to Japan stood at 233,415 tons worth $122.22 million, down 44.85% and 30.04% in tonnage and value respectively year-on-year.  Japan was Iran’s 15th biggest export destination during the period.

Iran mainly exported gas condensate, methanol and floorings to Japan during the four-month period.

Japan exported 42,615 tons of goods worth $190.19 million to Iran, down 2.75% in tonnage and 1.53% in value YOY.

Japan was the 16th exporter of goods to Iran over the four months. The imports mainly included auto parts, metal and steel pipes, and turbojet parts.
